HistoryEdit

OriginsEdit

By 2008, the Death Eaters were an organization formed from people Lucius Crouch, Jr., now Count Darkrin, knew from his time at Hogwarts School of Witchraft and Wizardry as well as dark wizards and witches he caught while an Auror. Nearly all of those people came from Slytherin House as students. Actively recruiting an army of Dark Wizards and creatures, with the belief that his Horcruxes grants him immortality, Darkrin, Grindelwald, and their followers planned to overthrow the Ministry of Magic and rule their way.

While Crouch was defeating Gellert Grindelwald, their minds became connected, and it was revealed to Grindelwald that Darkrin planned to be a dark wizard after he set his affairs in order. Grindelwald sent off a message to Crouch's brain telling him to kill Grindelwald and later bring him back to aid Crouch. A while after Crouch defeated Gellert Grindelwald, he decided to take Gellert Grindelwalds help. Count Darkrin used the Ressurrection Stone to bring back the spirit of Gellert Grindelwald. Grindelwald became the leader of the group while Darkrin led the human side. Darkrin willingly accepted Grindelwald as their formal leader.

The Death Eaters first activities in 2008 consisted of attacks on Muggle-born and Half-blood wizards and witches. These were initiated by the Death Eaters on the orders of Grindelwald and Darkrin. Crouch's parents accepted his status as a Death Eater, and became covert Death Eaters themselves. Crouch Sr., being the Minister for Magic, became a prominent member of the group. The only kills the group made were planned and only for a precise reason.

Azkaban EscapesEdit

The Death Eaters recruited Dementors for their alliance. The revolt of the Dementors led and facilitated the mass breakout of prisoners that Lucius Crouch captured. All of these prisoners completely and easily accepted why Crouch put them in their and joined the Death Eaters and all became in the inner circle.

Victory at Diagon AlleyEdit

In early summer of 2008, Grindelwald sent 7 Death Eaters, led by Count Darkrin, to take over Diagon Alley and capture Mr. Olivander. As Lucius Crouch Jr.'s mother is the owner of the Leaky Cauldron, a prominent entrance to the alley, it was easy to gain control of the Alley. The Death Eaters vandalised nothing but rather cleaned the Alley. They evacuated the Alley without harming anybody but Muggle-borns and Half-bloods. They did not kill, but rather captured any Muggle-borns and Half-bloods they could round up. They completely gained control of Diagon Alley except for Gringotts, which upon their arrival, closed their doors to Diagon Alley. It was later discovered that Gringott's actually exists in a foreign land and it was a charm that allowed access through Diagon Alley. When they opened the doors, the charm had already been called off, and the Death Eaters found nothing but a large abandoned building. The dark witches and wizards who were in Knockturn Alley at the time also helped with the invasion. After they gained control, outer circle Death Eaters took up residence in the Leaky Cauldron.. Borgin, the owner of Borgin and Burkes became the Death Eater in charge of the Diagon Alley operation. One month later, the Death Eaters reopened Diagon Alley only to Pure-Blood witches and wizards and charged outrageuos prices for the items being sold and regulated many of them to only be beneficial to the Death Eaters. Every moment, Aurors and other Wizarding Law Enforcement attempt to penetrate the walls of Diagon Alley, but the witts of Darkrin and Grindelwald are too strong and are able to keep them out.

Victory at HogwartsEdit

Grindelwald plotted to be rid of his old pal, Albus Dumbledore. When Albus Dumbledore was meditating his thoughts in the astronomy tower, five Death Eaters entered Hogwarts with the help of new Death Eater, Draco Malfoy. Draco procceeded to the tower and successfully disarmed Dumbledore. When the other Death Eaters arrived, Dumbledore realized what was happening and attempted to stop them, but he knew he was outnumbered and gave in. Crouch successfully cast the Killing Curse on Dumbledore in front of the other four Death Eaters and Draco Malfoy. After Dumbledore's death, the Death Eaters retreated on Crouch's orders. Crouch set fire to the Groundkeeper's Hut, and the Death Eaters Disapparated when they reached the gate.

Among the Death Eaters present were siblings Alecto and Amycus Carrow, Fenrir Greyback, Bellatrix Lestrange, and Crouch. Draco Malfoy became a Death Eater and was branded with the Dark Mark.
